Single flute endmills downcut for Aluminium
When cutting with a downcut endmill the chips are thrown downwards. It might be badly evacuated. The advantage is that the tool pushes the material downwards which helps to maintain it.This kind of tool are oftenly used for : Small thickness workpieces, Small parts, Avoid delamination on the upper part of the material, On machining robots (example for dashboards machining) to avoid vibrations, It is recommended to have a space between sacrificial plate and material for correct chips evacuation. It is strongly recommended to use coolant when machining aluminium.
